Stuart and Giles did a great job trimming back a tall overgrown Leylandii hedge above a high wall, and cutting back a huge apple tree overhanging the pond. Both quite challenging jobs were carried out carefully and professionally, with all waste shredded and the garden left neat and tidy at the end. Very pleased with the work Oliver and the team did for us. Four ash trees and two sycamores sorted out quickly and efficiently. We kept the wood for logs and I estimate that the value of the logs paid for more than half the reasonable cost of the work.

Ollie and Stuart carried out the removal of two dead and dangerous uprooted trees from our garden. Throughout the process the whole team were professional, advising us of how to deal with the issues and carrying out the removal in a safe and controlled way. Upon completion they were very thorough ensuring all debris was cleared and the garden was returned to its pre job state. We would not hesitate to employ them again.

General Hedge work These guys are brilliant. Due to circumstances I have had to rely on them to undertake work without me being present, they have done exactly as asked and have gone way beyond on customer service. I cannot recommend them enough.

We initially had a few quotes for pruning a stand of trees which spanned our back garden and a few trees in the front area of our property. Firstly their quote was competitive, but what we found equally important was getting the right advice as we wanted to ensure the rows of trees still had some height as this enabled a boundary and privacy. We simply needed the right advice as we didi not just want all the trees chopped down with no privacy.When Oliver and Stuart looked at what we wanted they looked at the situation and advised to only prune the front trees and keep the back row of trees as distinct from pruning all of them. This was the right advice as it still afforded us privacy, but it also allowed more light to enter our garden which has the added benefit of allowing better growth of plants as there is now more light. In fact it has opened up the space in the garden and gives it a totally different feel. So no more overhang from the stand of willow trees with small branches breaking off in the wind littering the garden.The crew from Coast & Country were extremely professional, they spent nearly two days getting the job done, tidied up all the debris and took everything away, plus they were able to give us a recommendation and referral for someone to do much needed landscaping work, given how boggy the gardens are here in South Molton.When you want a professional tree surgeon team who will come and look at what you need and provide the right advice, look no further than Coast & Country. I’ve previously ‘dealt with’ our own ‘arboricultural’ problems, but knowing the density of an Ash tree with ‘dieback’ problems decided to consult with ‘experts’ in order to ensure its safe removal, and after making several enquiries, decided on “Coast & Country Tree Services” to carry out the work.

From the initial responses to my various queries, through advices/quotation provided, explanations of varied issues, to the expeditious and professional methods employed in carrying out the works, I cannot offer other than our gratitude and praise to both Oliver and Stuart for the end results they both achieved !

Not only did they remove the Ash tree and other large fir trees, but the trimming of the lower branches of the large Cedar, adjacent to the garden house, will hopefully ensure a ‘sunny’ future for its occupants 😉 .

Oliver was the most knowledgable, professional & fairly-priced arborist that we had quote for pollarding two large sycamores. He spotted severe rot to one of the trees & gave us several options to deal with it. I called Coast and country for some prices tidying up some trees and a hedge. I was pleasantly surprised with both the price and the professionalism of the service provided. Oliver and Stuart have helped me with a small area of woodland that was under TPO protection. They persevered with a lengthy application process and once this was achieved they undertook the work in a timely and efficient manner. This work included the removal of 4 trees and crowning of several more as well as cutting back the extensive laurel undergrowth. The finished result is a much smarter area and well managed trees.
